Discussion of Athletics and Life at Liberty University

New Women's Swimming Coach named

Here is the place for the lowdown on tennis, golf and other sport on campus. And if you consider band, debate or quiz bowl a sport, you have found your home. It is also the place to discuss schoolwide athletics.

A Shippensburg grad. Hmmm. Paging Kevin McGuire. They would've been there the same time, I think. Maybe I'll call over to Souderton today. Or not.

Millersville, Chambersburg. seems like a central PA guy- didn't think the Amish allowed swimsuits.

Best of luck to him, though.

Maybe the Amish did not wear swimsuit.

Glad to have him here. I probably would've been more impressed if his time spent in Tuscon would've been in Austin instead.

Welcome to the LU family!

Much like track meets, they tend to take a great deal of time with stops & starts of interest. Its almost swim season down here in Texas for my kids and my Saturday mornings will be gone.

One thing I can say as a former swimmer and PA announcer is that swimming can be a real blast to watch. I remember when I announced a state meet one year I think 5 or 6 records were broken or rebroken during finals (and in HS they dont have to worry about those crazy suits like they do at the Olympic level)
